The Anna Club

What about the elderly?

In 2008, as Jonathan was standing and praying for LIFE and the ending of abortion outside of a local abortion clinic, God gave him vision for the Anna Club. God spoke to him and said, “You’ve been standing on behalf of the unborn and fighting for LIFE for those who do not have a voice to cry out for themselves, but what about the elderly? Their voice has also been silenced.”

The name, Anna Club, comes from the woman Anna in the bible in Luke 2. She was an 84 year old woman who was widowed early in life. For over 60 years she did not depart the temple but prayed and fasted night and day for the Messiah. Though she could have easily been overlooked in her day, God choose to let this woman Anna see the fruit of her prayers and meet Jesus as a baby.

We begin with worship singing familiar hymns. Eventually we'd like to incorporate some kind of harp and bowl format with worship and prayer together.

We believe God has a crucial role He desires for the elderly to fulfill in the Great Commission. No matter the condition of one’s body or life circumstance, they can change the nations through worship and intercession. Through the Anna Club, we desire to give purpose and dignity to the elderly and call them to partner with the Great High Priest Jesus praying for the return of Jesus and the restoration of all things.
