This month I joined my covenant brothers and sisters in Washington, DC praying for the ending of abortion and for revival to come to our nation. We began Monday, October 3rd, the opening day of the Supreme Court and our one year anniversary of the Silent Siege, praying in silence for the ending of abortion. Monday was a really important day as Chief Justice John G. Roberts began his first day on the job. Much to our surprise, none of the pro-choice organizations, such as the National Organization for Women, ever showed up like we were expecting! One guy with a sign showed up but soon left with the massive number of our group before him. I feel like the tide is turning in Washington, DC.
As usual, we prayed in silence with the tape over our mouths that says LIFE. However, with a sound permit, we also had live worship and prayer outside of the court. This was the first time after standing for a year that we were not completely silent. As we waited for Chief Justice Roberts to come out to address the media we took off our tape and just began worshiping the Lord singing to Him, “You are holy”. It was wonderful to worship our King before the highest human court of our nation. As I worshiped I really reflected on the battle we have waged this past year and rejoiced before the Lord for the beginning victory we are seeing over abortion.
Here is an excerpt from what Fox News reported about us:
Outside the courthouse, Roberts and his family were cheered by about three dozen members of Bound 4 Life, an anti-abortion group that has been a steady presence in front of the court. Many of the group’s teen to young adult members had taped the word “life” over their mouths, while others sang religious songs and lifted their arms in the air.
Some members called out to Roberts directly, saying, “We love you,” and “We’re praying for you.” Roberts maintained his by now familiar, steady grin, and only his wife, a pro-life attorney, waved at the group.
We continued in prayer and fasting in front of the court until 5 pm and afterward prayed and worshiped at a church in Maryland. It made for a very long day, but it’s worth it!
Haunted House Outreach
This past Friday we started the IHOP Missions Base’s annual Halloween Outreach. This year, we are partnering with a church doing a walk-through reality “haunted house”. Inside thousands will find the horror of reality through several griping scenes: drunk driving, a drug-overdose room, a woman going through post-abortion trauma, and suicide. From there they are taken on a train ride through hell. By the end they see the only hope they have of staying away from eternal torment hanging on a cross: Christ Jesus bearing the wrath of God for their sin. This past Saturday, in one night, we saw over 600 people walk through and out of those 78 souls were brought into the kingdom. If this continues we will see thousands saved through this outreach.
On Thursday, October 20th and 27th, I will be involved behind the scenes as a technician handling various aspects of the production. On Saturday, October 22nd and 29th, I will be counseling people afterwards and will lead many to Christ. Please pray for me that God would give me anointed and specific words for the people that I counsel.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. It is making this ministry possible.
