Years ago, I was standing in front of the abortion clinic for the little ones and God spoke to my heart, “What about the elderly?” I told him to give that ministry to someone else that I wasn’t interested. I wish I could say I came around a few weeks later, but it took years. But finally, six years ago, we heard God’s cry for “pure and undefiled religion” to “care for the widows…in their distress” and we started Anna Club. Our dream is to give the elderly a purpose through prayer. Even through 2020, we were there giving hope to the most forgotten among us. Telling them, “We see you. We believe you are still valuable.” We hear the silent generation.
Lately, God has been stirring more hearts in the IHOPKC community with this vision. I now have a worship leader and a prayer leader. This means I have been able to step back a little bit and dream again. When God gave me this vision, I saw the nursing homes of America filled with prayer meetings, like Anna once did, calling for Jesus to return to the earth. I soon will be presenting this vision to IHOPKC leadership seeking to multiply Anna Club prayer meetings all over Kansas City. (Please keep those meetings in your prayers!) Along with that, we will be launching our website with training videos on how to start Anna Clubs in your own city. We are praying this vision will catch like fire all over the nation!
Now that I have a team it is time for Phase 2. We want to start experimenting with Harp and Bowl prayer meetings. Over the next month I will be teaching the residents the why and how of combing music, singing, and prayer, and, after that, I would like to start trying to do it! We have many who are hard of hearing so once music gets added amplification is a must. We need to purchase a sound system. We need $3200 for a wireless microphone system for the residents to pray, a small portable sound system, microphones for prophetic singers, and a keyboard. Would you say with us, “I hear you! Your voice is not silent to me.” Would you give towards this ministry? Thank you for all you have done to partner with us. You are with us in ways I cannot describe!
