539,000 People Want Abortion to End
Recently, Allan Parker, the Supreme Court lawyer who we are working with to overturn Roe vs Wade through a petition at themoraloutcry.com said we now had more than doubled our signatures and needed to bring another scroll to the Supreme Court. He asked me to design another scroll and bring the additional names to the court on the opening day October 4th. This time, the 5ft wide scroll will be 150 feet long. Identical to last time, I used a modest font size—not too big, not too small (10pt). We will roll out the original scroll which was 125 feet long beside this one answering the late Justice Scalia’s question, “Where is the Moral Outcry over abortion?” Here is the outcry! America wants this to end. These scrolls of names show that. More importantly, God wants abortion to end. I will ultimately go to DC in a spirit of prayer asking God to intervene this year as the Mississippi case arrives before the Supreme Court on December 1st asking them to outlaw abortion after 15 weeks. We will also be praying for the other laws making their way to the court including Texas’ (which was allowed to stay while they deliberate!) and Arkansas who based their law on our arguments in the petition. While there, I will likely lead worship in David’s Tent. This YWAM ministry has been praying on the national mall in a tent 24/7 since 2015.
Please pray for us. Many women angry at Texas’ new law will also gather to protest. Pray for a true Spirit of humility as we do what we do and that Jesus’ heart would be expressed in everything we say and do. Please also pray for Theresa and the boys while I am gone.
