Recently, I (Theresa) started prayer leading in the Global Prayer Room in an official capacity! It has been great to work with worship teams again. I haven’t done as much of that the last few years while I’ve been busy with all the babies! I love praying the prayers in the Bible and using scripture to pray. I have made myself a student of the prayers in the Bible and how to help lead corporate prayer in a worship setting. I have already learned so much and have been stretched in learning how to facilitate a prayer meeting and serve both the people in the prayer room and the worship team. I have especially been learning from Mike Bickle’s new teaching series on the apostolic prayers.
Building Community for Moms
With everything going on in the world, our mom’s group had to shift scheduling dramatically and the way we do things. Instead of meeting in the mornings, we begun meeting in the evening after our kids go to bed. As a leadership team we feel like God is moving upon families and inviting us to go deeper in Him, so we have started praying together and praying for each other and our families. We also started a discussion on our facebook group and Marco pollo group to share dreams and revelation in the Word and to encourage one another throughout the week. It has been so amazing getting to know the moms in a deeper way and pressing into God together. My heart is that every mom would find a community to surround herself in to have people to ask for prayer at all hours of the day and to uplift and be there for each other!
One of Our Residents Passed Away from COVID
Thankfully, most of the residents have been asymptomatic with COVID. Sadly, one of our younger and strongest intercessors suddenly passed away. We miss Joanne very much, but our comfort lies in that she has now joined the great prayer meeting happening around the Throne, and our hope is in the resurrection knowing we will see her again.
