Filling in Leading Worship at IHOPKC

If you’ve ever wanted to hear Jonathan lead worship, there is a section on IHOPKC’s website containing archives of many prayer meetings he has led.

Jonathan has had a lot of opportunities to lead worship at the main campus of the International House of Prayer. Because some of these prayer meetings have been later in the evening, the boys and I (Theresa) have stayed home watching “daddy” on tv in our pj’s or as we are getting ready for bed. So even if we can’t be there in person, we can join the prayer meeting thanks to the free web stream. Caleb’s current favorite song Jonathan does is “fling wide” and he loves to sing along with the part where it says “fling wide, fling wide, fling wide all you gates, fling wide, fling wide, let the King of Glory enter in.”

Learning to Pray the Apostolic Prayers

Starting September 18, Mike Bickle will be teaching through each of the apostolic prayers for our Friday evening Encountering God Service at 7:30pm. You can watch live or access the playbacks at your convenience. The Apostolic Prayers are simply the prayers the apostles prayed in the New Testament. I am especially looking forward to this class because these prayers are integral to night and day prayer, and I am excited to dive deep and learn more how to use these prayers. These prayers were written prayers sent to specific congregations praying for the believers. We can use these prayers to regularly pray for the church. Many of our prayer meetings at the house of prayer are for Israel and the church. We know that if the church is walking in the fullness of everything God has for us, and we are fully unified and reflecting in the image of Christ that we will be the light in which the dark world will turn to. There is no better way to pray than using the Word of God! It is powerful, and it will give us language and fuel to pray for our specific burdens too.

Prayer Request: We recently found out from the nursing home that once there is less than 5 new active cases of COVID-19 per day in our county, we will begin to be able to return to in person Anna Club at the nursing home. Please join us in praying. Many residents are very weary and discouraged from this extended quarantine.
