Our nursing home ministry has been growing! IHOPKC’s Pastoral Ministry recently established a hospitality division, which includes hospital and nursing home visits. Since we already had a connection to the nursing home, they connected with us! We are so thankful for more helpers as at least one volunteer joins us Thursdays for Anna Club each week. The hospitality team also helps us with one-on-one visits throughout the week. We are beyond grateful for more laborers. Because of their one-on-one weekly visits, many more residents at the nursing home have been able to hear about and get connected with Anna Club. Our prayer meetings have grown so much, that some weeks we have to break into small groups to pray over the prayer topics so every resident is able to pray and to receive prayer. One such man is Richard.
Richard recently started coming to Anna Club. He told us how he taught Sunday school for many years at his church and how much he misses teaching and being able to attend church. He has been sad that he hasn’t been able to be a part of a church family and really missed it. As tears came down his eyes, he expressed his thankfulness to have a church family again through the Anna Club.
