Building New Relationships with Ministries in Haiti
We have exciting news of a special opportunity. We have been asked to go back to Haiti in May for a mission trip with a two-fold purpose. Jonathan and I (Theresa), and Katie Bolling will be going for a week. Since it is a sudden opportunity with such a short deadline, we are asking you to join us through finances and prayer. Katie is on staff at the International House of Prayer and works with the students in the Justice Program at our Bible school. Jonathan and I have been working with Haitian Pearl, IHOPKC’s ministry to Haiti, for many years. The mission of Haitian Pearl is to mobilize prayer for Haiti and to labor to see revival through intercession and works of justice.
The purpose of our trip is two-fold. On behalf of Haitian Pearl, Jonathan and I are going to seek out new ministries that we can partner with. We want to come alongside them, share their story, partner with them in prayer, and send teams to serve them.
Katie will be going on behalf of our Bible school to seek out ministries to send her Justice Program students to in the future. The program is focused on addressing hard issues and questions like, “What is true Biblical justice?” At the end of the two year program, the students partake in an internship where they serve, often in another country, for a few months working on a project that brings together their last two years of study. Jonathan brings a unique contribution to the team, as a Justice Program alumni who did his internship in Haiti for 2½ months.
Will you partner with us and send us to Haiti? The exact total we need for our trip will depend on flight pricing, but we are estimating a total for all three of us to be about $5000. We need about $1,200 of that by April 2nd to get a reasonable price on flights. Or we could purchase the tickets with any airline miles you might have. Will you partner with us and receive an inheritance with us in this nation that God has a special destiny for?
