Over 250 hearts were touched with the message of worship and prayer on this past ministry trip through East Texas. I ministered at five churches leading worship and preaching. During the trip, we also stood in silent prayer outside of Planned Parenthood in Lufkin, Texas. This “Silent Prayer Siege” was small but I know it made an impact. We stood from 9-10:30 am on Tuesday, August 22nd for a culture of LIFE to be established in Lufkin and our nation.
Lakewood Baptist, Zavalla, TX
My ministry started Sunday, August 20th in Zavalla, TX at Lakewood Baptist in their morning service. I led the congregation in worship and then shared about the prayer journey that God took the intercessors of the Cause USA praying for the elections of 2004. I told them about how we stood in silent prayer in front of the Supreme Court for the ending of abortion. I also shared about the Justice House of Prayer on Pennsylvania Ave and showed ABC’s Nightline Report about it.
Grace Gospel Church, Zavalla
From Lakewood, I ran over to Grace Gospel Church preaching their 10:30 am service doing things differently then I every have. I played piano, preached, and would sing prophetically throughout the message. I talked about the intercessor Anna in Luke 2 who stayed in the temple night and day before the first coming of Jesus. I gave a call for anyone who felt like they were called to be intercessors before the second coming of Jesus. Many stood in response weeping, I hope, overwhelmed by the biblical confirmation of their calling to be intercessors.
First Assembly of God, Lufkin, TX
The audio and notes from the message that I preached are available here
At First Assembly I preached a message titled “Sustaining Prevailing Prayer”. I took the church through the Bible showing the calling of God for His church to pray. I ended th e message with the key found in Isaiah 62:4-5 to sustaining prayer year after year: intimacy with Jesus.
It will no longer be said to you, “Forsaken… But you will be called, ‘My delight is in her‘…For the LORD delights in you‘And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God will rejoice over you.”
Agape Church, Colmesneil, TX
On Sunday, August 27th, I led worship and preached at Agape Church in Colmesneil, TX. I shared from Daniel 9:2-4 about contending in prayer for the prophetic promises that the Lord has given us. Many stood in response with a renewed commitment to laboring in prayer for the things God has promised them.
First Baptist, Kirbyville, TX
That evening at First Baptist in Kirbyville, TX I lead worship and gave the church an update on the fight to end abortion at their monthly prayer meeting. It was amazing to see such a large and passionate group of intercessors in such a small town in the middle of East Texas contending for the ending of abortion!
Special Need: A New Laptop
On the way back from one of my ministry trips, my laptop fell out of the back of our van. When I got back home, much to my dismay, I turned on my laptop and found the screen displaying all sorts of random horizontal lines. Since then, I have gotten it running, but I feel as if it is on its last leg. I use this laptop regularly for keeping in touch with supporters, organizing my worship sets, working on my section leadership responsibilities at IHOP, and many, many other things. For a while, I have been looking into buying a new laptop that I will be able to use during my worship sets as another musical instrument and will eventually be able to do some recording on it. The laptop I am looking at will cost about $1,700. If you would like to give towards this special need click here to give online or mail a gift in. Thank you again for your partnership in this ministry of worship and prayer.
